Big News! New Manager & New Hours at Our Tasting Room

If you have visited us in the past year, there is a good chance you have met Christopher. We’re thrilled to announce that starting Tuesday, June 4th, Christopher will begin his role as Tasting Room Manager.

Yes, you read that correctly, Tuesday! We’re also starting new hours in June 2024.

Meet Our New Tasting Room Manager, Christopher!

This is a big step for us, and we could not have selected a better candidate for the role. Christopher has extensive experience in the service industry, and we are excited to see how he helps us develop this position.

Christopher

Christopher is from Early, TX, and graduated from Howard Payne University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. His background and passion for the industry make him an excellent fit for this role. We asked him a few questions to help you get to know him better.

1. What do you hope to learn from this role?

The opportunity to expand my knowledge, when it comes to the world of viticulture, is one aspect I look forward to. All learning is beneficial, and I am eager to learn just how much dedication goes into each glass of wine. Another aspect I am hoping to learn…. how to be as charismatic as Chewy, but I am not getting my hopes up to high on that.

2. What is it like working at Skies Over Texas Winery?

May 25th marked my one-year anniversary, and time sure does fly when you are having fun. Every day at Skies Over Texas is not only an opportunity to learn, but an avenue to connect with both the local community and people passing through. This environment allows me to showcase what I do best, serve you.

3. What is your favorite part of what you do at the winery?

You mean besides getting to pet Chewy and Gunner? I would say, watching Brian and Moira inspire others with their drive, dedication, and humble ability to serve their fellow man.

4. What are your favorite Skies Over Texas wine, past or present?

Hands-down, full-stop, Aged to Reflection 2018, second bottling. This was the showstopper for a long time. Now, you can find me with a glass of Dolcetto in my hand.

5. If you’re not at the winery, what are your favorite hobbies?

Gardening, doing yard work, landscaping, and walking my dog are a few. Having my Private Pilot’s License, you can look to the skies and find me in the air. You can also find me enjoying a nice evening on the patio, around a fire, with a nice glass of wine, good music, friends, and family.

New Hours Starting June 2024

In addition to welcoming Christopher, we’re excited to announce our new hours starting in June 2024. We understand the importance of flexibility and convenience for our guests, and we believe these new hours will better accommodate your visits.
