What an incredible week. Like most people, the week before Christmas is very busy preparing for the special day – shopping, wrapping, and making plans to get together. This year is especially busy for us with all of the changes taking place on the property.
Fortunately, being busy this week will help as Christmas draws closer. If you are familiar with our situation, you know this will be a very different Christmas for Brian and me. For the past 10 years we have been with our granddaughter(s) on Christmas morning. While we may not be with them physically that morning, we are very grateful for the technology that is available. Thanks to FaceTime I know that we will be able to see their excitement, hear their laughter, and talk with them. And knowing that they will be visiting soon fills me with anticipation.
Just like the technology that will connect us with our grandchildren and families on Christmas, technology has connected us to our new community of Early. Brian and I are overwhelmed with the responses to the announcement of the Star of Texas Winery opening this spring. It has been so exciting to receive messages on our blog posts and FaceBook page. We are looking forward to meeting you all in person and getting to know you and your family.
It is even more exciting to know that we are building a community family. We met with Denise Hudson, with the Early Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Larry McConn, from the Economic Development Department. While there are many things that need to be done before we open, it’s nice to know that we have great local support!
We pray that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas filled with love and laughter and we look forward to having you “relax and unwined with us” very soon.
